Happy Friday! This week has been action-packed, and the fun isn’t stopping anytime soon. We’re getting down to the wire — which mascot will be crowned? 👑

There’s still time left to vote on which mascots should make it to the Final Four! In the meantime, here’s what else is coming up in today’s Bulletin:

Let’s dive right in!

🎙️ Sullivan Shines. Bentonville West sophomore Mikayla Sullivan has picked up where she left off as a freshman, with five goals and five assists so far this season. She’s a dynamic score, with skills and feet work that improve with each game.

🐯 Tiger Takedown. Bentonville softball has been on a tear, recently taking down Rogers Heritage with a 9-4 win. Freshman Aubrey Eiland was a standout, hitting two home runs and driving in six. Senior Darby Burnett struck out 15 batters, only allowing four hits.

🦅 Heritage Holds. Rogers Heritage was able to hold off Fort Smith Southside, securing a 4-3 win in 6A-West conference play. The Mavericks had a chance at a comeback in the seventh, putting two runners on with the tying run at the plate. Despite a comeback looming, sophomore Wesley Wibert sealed the deal for Heritage, striking out the final batter.

⬆️ Moving Up. Basketball season might be over, but that doesn’t mean the action is slowing down. After leading North Little Rock girls basketball to six state titles, head coach Daryl Fimple will be stepping into a new role. The Arkansas Tech alum will be returning home, taking over as head coach for the women’s basketball team. At NLR, Fimple won 668 games, earning 16 conference titles.

⚾️ Bentonville’s Noah Bolinger allowed two hits in the opening frame, but quickly regained control of the situation. In the Tigers’ 3-0 win over Har-Ber, Bolinger threw a complete game, shutting out a hot Wildcat offense. The senior struck out six, only allowing three walks in 102 pitches. His composure on the mound was key to Bentonville’s success.

⚾️ Sophomore Will Schaefer delivered a dominant performance this week, leading Fayetteville to a 4-0 win over Fort Smith Northside. The Bulldogs’ offense got off to an electric start with an early lead, and Schaefer was able to prevent any Grizzlies scoring. He struck out 14 batters, including nine in the first three innings, and threw 60 of his 92 pitches for strikes.
