👀 Our One to Watch
🏈 Game of the Week

Let’s dive right in!

🎙️ Familiar Faces. Kimberly Jenkins has led the Har-Ber girls basketball program since 2018, and she might look familiar to you if you followed Razorback women’s basketball. She’s a member of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, the University of Arkansas Razorbacks Sports Hall of Honor, and still ranks fifth all time in scoring for the Hogs — but her focus is all about her Lady Wildcats team that’s currently rolling in the 6A West. They’re talented, but they are a special group on and off the court.

🏆 Top Spot. Thanks to a big third quarter performance, Farmington was able to clinch the top spot in the 5A-West with a 52-34 win over Mountain Home. The Lady Cardinals used a 12-0 run to start the second half, which helped them pull away from the Bombers, handing them their first conference loss of the season. Sophomore Easton McCollough led Farmington with 19 points, following behind senior Reese Thornton with 12.

💪 Earned It. Har-Ber fought hard, holding off Rogers Heritage for a 82-73 victory. The Wildcats never trailed, but had to deal with a 43-point performance from Heritage senior Skye Davenport. Senior Jabarih Washington led Har-Ber with 26 points and five three-pointers, including a late three that helped seal the win as the Wildcats improved to 4-2 in conference play.

🐯 Overtime Offense. Bentonville bounced back in dramatic fashion, taking down Rogers, 97-93, in a four-overtime thriller. Junior LeShaun Gochett solidified the win with two free throws in the fourth extra period as the Tigers improved to 4-1 in 6A-West play. Junior Demarion Lee led Bentonville with 32 points and Gochett added 24.

🏀 Rogers senior Chris Hill continues to prove his importance on the court, putting up 45 points in a four-overtime match against Bentonville. His clutch bucket late in the third overtime forced yet another extra period and kept the Mounties alive. Hill was last week’s Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week, and you can learn more about him here!

🏀 Bentonville and Bentonville West basketball will meet tonight in a classic Northwest Arkansas rivalry. The Tigers are coming off of a tight 97-93 win over Rogers, now holding a 4-1 conference record. Bentonville West, on the other hand, suffered their second conference loss this week with a 40-61 game against Fayetteville. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm and the game can be watched here.

🏀 Bryant basketball travels to Cabot tonight for a 6A-Central matchup. The Hornets are looking to extend their win streak to five, most recently taking down Little Rock Southwest 78-56. Seniors RJ Young and Camarion Bead led Bryant with 20 points each, followed by junior KD Hicks with 10. Cabot will be searching for their first conference win, looking to bounce back after a 58-36 loss to Little Rock Central. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm and the game can be watched here.
