🎙️ Varsity Vibe Today. Thursday night high school football action brought the excitement. We’ve got a recap of the games of the night, plus we look ahead to a conference matchup between Conway and Pulaski Academy with a visit from Wampus Cats head coach Buck James.

🏈 Purple Dogs Dominate. Fayetteville took down Springdale last night in a dominant 52-38 victory. The game was tight after the first quarter, with Fayetteville leading 14-13, but an 80-yard touchdown from junior quarterback Hank Hendrix in the second quarter shifted the momentum, and the Purple Dogs went into halftime leading 35-20.

🥊 Central Showdown. The Bryant Hornets host Cabot tonight in a key matchup for both programs. Bryant enters the game with an undefeated record, while the Panthers are looking to extend their win streak after taking down Pulaski Academy last week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm and can be watched here.

🐶 Dog Fight. Greenwood took down Van Buren in huge 6A matchup, beating the Pointers, 56-3. Bulldogs’ senior quarterback Kane Archer led the offense, connecting with senior receiver Cooper Bland for an early touchdown. Archer later found senior receiver Champ Davis for a 35-yard pass, which set up a score by junior running back Mario Dunbar.

🏈 Fort Smith Northside’s Warren Bijou earned himself a spot in the record books following a standout performance against Heritage. In the close 41-40 loss, Bijou helped keep Northside in the game, providing an offensive spark. The senior running back rushed for 374 yards and five touchdowns, breaking both school and 7A West records. This season, he has rushed over 1,000 yards to lead the 7A conference.

🏈 Bentonville remains on top as the only undefeated team in the 7A West after taking down Rogers, 31-28. Senior quarterback Cole Slepecki threw four touchdowns, with three to senior receiver Conrad Schmitz. While Bentonville’s offense looked explosive, the defense got some key stops, including a fourth-down stop on the 1-yard line.

⛹️‍♀️ Performance Athlete of the Week. This week, our Performance Athlete of the Week is Reese Davis. The Har-Ber volleyball player has shown impressive improvement across the board, shaving 10 seconds off of her 20-yard dash and 25 seconds off of her Pro Agility time. Davis also added 6.87” to her broad jump and 2” to her vertical. Her gains not only signiy physical growth, but Davis’ mental toughness and dedication. 🏈 Pulaski Academy will visit Conway tonight in hopes of picking up their third conference win. The Wampus Cats are undefeated in 7A Central play, coming off of a dominant 52-7 win over Central. Conway averages more than 40 points per game, while the Bruins are looking to regroup after a tough stretch, suffering two straight losses to Bryant and Cabot. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm and can be watched here.
