🎙️ Talkin’ Hoops. The Bentonville West boys basketball team is 4-1 to start 6A west action, and is leaning on its defense and experience to help win games. Coming off a win over Springdale last Friday, head coach Trent Loyd and senior Cooper Moore sit down with Alyssa Orange to talk about how the non-conference schedule helped prepare them for conference, and how confident they are playing right now. Plus, after his return to the court for the first time since December, Little Rock Christian’s JJ Andrews is our Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week.

🏀 Wolverine W. Bentonville West came out hot, building a double-digit lead in the first half to secure their 51-45 win over Springdale. Senior Landon Price set the tone early, scoring the Wolverines’ first six points and finishing with a team-high 15. The Bulldogs almost fought back, getting within single digits in the fourth quarter. Despite a tight ending, the Wolverines’ free-throw shooting came in clutch, with senior Drake Tidwell making five in the fourth quarter.

✅ Back In. Har-Ber snapped a two-game losing streak with a 81-56 victory over Southside. The Wildcats had a slow start, with Southside taking the lead early. Har-Ber was able to bounce back, cutting the deficit late in the first quarter and never trailing again. The Wildcats’ offense was electric, with five players scoring in double figures, led by senior Ryan Spencer with 17 points.

⛹️‍♀️ The Pea Ridge Lady Blackhawks earned a commanding win this week over Prairie Grove, 62-38. Pea Ridge sits at 9-5 overall, and their offense looks sharp — their victory over the Tigers marked their fifth by more than 23 points. 🏀 Little Rock Christian senior standout JJ Andrews is back! After suffering a wrist injury earlier in the season, the Arkansas commit made his return to the court against Little Rock Catholic. In his return, Andrews scored 18 points and added eight rebounds and five assists.

⛹️‍♀️ In an overtime thriller between Springdale and Bentonville West, Wolverines senior Hallie Ford came in clutch, making three free throws under pressure to help secure the win. Earlier in the game, Ford made a three-pointer that gave Bentonville West the lead at halftime. Despite trailing in the fourth quarter, a free throw from Ford tied the game, ultimately leading to overtime and a 67-63 victory.

🏀 Little Rock Christian took down Little Rock Catholic in a dominant 78-34 victory. Senior JJ Andrews scored 13 points with eight rebounds and five assists. Senior Kaiden Nelson was responsible for 16 of the Warriors’ points, while senior Justice Moore had 13 points.
