🎙️ Jensen Thrasher on her breakout season
📈 Recapping scores from the week
👀 Our One to Watch
🏈 Game of the Week

Let’s dive right in!

🎙️ Making Moves. Bentonville’s Jensen Thrasher has already made a name for herself in the girls basketball world, despite being a little over halfway through her sophomore season. She was one of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s newcomers of the year and a team captain as a freshman, and since her return from injury has played a big role in the Tigers’ success.

🐻 Bear Down. Fort Smith Northside is one step closer to a first-round bye in the state tournament following a 57-38 victory over Fayetteville. The Lady Bears depended on a strong defensive effort and late-game buckets to seal the win, with freshman Paisley Hogan leading the way with 14 points.

🍭 Sweet Revenge. Siloam Springs got revenge earlier this week, taking down Mountain Home, 76-52. After falling to the Bombers earlier this season, the Panthers came out hot on offense, taking the lead early and never trailing. Senior AJ Moore and sophomore Ryan Vachon scored 18 points each, while senior Stewart Schwaninger had 14.

💪 6A Clash. The Springdale Bulldogs will travel to Bentonville West tonight in a 6A matchup. Springdale is riding high after a big win over Rogers Heritage, taking down the War Eagles, 60-45. On the other hand, West is looking to bounce back after a 67-78 loss to Rogers. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm and the game can be watched here.

🏀 In Fayetteville’s 87-73 win over Northside, sophomore Mitch Kirkland stood out offensively, scoring 28 points for the Bulldogs. On the defensive side, Kirkland picked up nine rebounds. The Bulldog has been instrumental to Fayetteville’s success this season, helping them to a 10-1 conference record.

🏀 Little Rock Christian Academy with host Parkview tonight for a 5A-Central rematch. The two teams met previously in the season, with the Patriots handing the Warriors a 78-43 loss. With each team featuring elite players, including Arkansas signee JJ Andrews and future Nebraska Cornhusker Jacob Lanier, this matchup is sure to be one to watch. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm and the game can be watched here.
