Let’s dive right in!
👀 Looking Ahead. The Rogers Mounties won their seventh consecutive 6A-West conference title, and finished the regular season 24-2. One their way to try and defend their state championship from a season ago, head coach Matt Melson joins Alyssa Orange to look ahead to the post season.

🏆 Survive and Advance. The tournament is here, and we have our first round of teams advancing to the next round! In the 6A baseball bracket, Cabot took down Southside with a 8-4 win. They’ll face off against Rogers tonight. Har-Ber shut out North Little Rock, 6-0, and we’ll play Little Rock Christian Academy. Fayetteville fell to Jonesboro, while Bryant beat Bentonville West.
🔥 Getting Hot. On the softball side of things, Rogers Heritage recorded a dominant win against Central, 15-1. The Lady War Eagles will play Bentonville. Bentonville West put up eight against North Little Rock, winning 8-2. Fayetteville shut out Jonesboro, 15-0, while Cabot beat Rogers 4-2.
🔒 Locked In. Pulaski Academy won the 4A-3 regional championship with a 7-2 victory over Joe T. Robinson behind a stellar performance from senior pitcher William Svoboda. The Bruins improved to 28-3 on the season as Svoboda tossed a complete game with nine strikeouts, allowing just two unearned runs. Despite falling behind early, Pulaski Academy answered with timely hitting, including RBIs from senior Rome Foster and senior Mason Greathouse.

🏈 Fayetteville football has a new leader this season: head coach Anthony Lucas. The former Pulaski Academy coach and Arkansas Razorback has begun spring practices, looking to change the team culture. With Fayetteville replacing several key contributors, including quarterback Hank Hendrix, Lucas is focused on establishing toughness, effort and accountability early on.
“I thought the first week of spring ball has gone well,” Lucas told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “I am proud of our team for buying into the new culture we are setting here.”

⚾️ Gentry softball is heating up at the right time, defeating Gravette 8-5 to win the Class 4A Region 1 championship. The Lady Pioneers, who entered the regional tournament on a four-game losing streak, won three straight games to claim the title and secure the No. 1 seed for the state tournament. Senior Iris Still sparked Gentry early with a two-run home run in the first inning, while senior Lynlee Teague finished with two hits and three RBI.
