Let’s dive right in!

🎙️ Prime Performances. We’re recapping some of the top performances from last week, spotlighting this week’s Lindsey Girls Athlete of the Week — Har-Ber guard Makenlie Campbell. Meanwhile, we’re catching up with Fayetteville boys basketball —our Signature Bank Team of the Week.

💨 Quick Start. Rogers went on a 12–0 run late in the third quarter to seal an 82–69 win over the Springdale Bulldogs. The Mounties offense was unstoppable, hitting 11 three-pointers, and they took a 47–31 lead into halftime. Senior Chris Hill scored 27 points, senior Gus Krout added 22, and sophomore Lincoln McMahan finished with 15 as Rogers improved to 13–4.

🐕 Pointer Power. Van Buren used late momentum in the fourth quarter to earn a 78-70 win over Siloam Springs, outscoring the Panthers 25-11 in the last eight minutes of the game. The Pointers picked up their twelfth win of the season and remain undefeated in 5A play. While Van Buren’s scoring helped put away the win, their defense came in clutch: In the fourth quarter, the Pointers forced three consecutive turnovers, scoring off each one.

🏀 Undefeated. Pea Ridge girls remain undefeated in conference play, taking down Gravette with a 67-63 win. Senior Brooklyn Winn led the Lady Blackhawks with 20 points, while junior Presley Hudson and senior Makenzie Stiles added 13 each. Gravette kept it close throughout, led by sophomore Mackenzie Wolf’s 17 points and 14 from junior Meara Russell.

🏀 Despite trailing at halftime, Fayetteville fought back to earn a tight 60-57 victory over Har-Ber. The Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats 19-12 in the third quarter to fight back for the lead. Har-Ber got within two points in the fourth quarter, but senior DJ Hudson grabbed two key rebounds to prevent a Wildcat comeback.

🏀 In Rogers’ 82-69 win over Springdale, senior Chris Hill put up an impressive performance with 27 points. Hill was unstoppable offensively, hitting three of the Mounties’ 11 three-pointers. On top of his shooting, head coach Jason McMahan told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette that Hill’s athleticism and decision-making play a special role in the Mounties’ offense:

"What makes him special is his reads and judgment are so fast. The second that Luke Sanders or Lincoln McMahan are open, the ball is in their hands."

⛹️‍♀️ Har-Ber basketball’s junior Makenlie Campbell played a fast-paced game against Springdale, adding 22 points to lead the Wildcats’ scoring. Har-Ber came out fast and never let up — something Campbell contributed to. To open up the fourth quarter, she scored two fast-break layups to add to Har-Ber’s lead.

🏀 Bryant basketball picked up a gritty 79-71 win over Jonesboro, thanks to timely shooting and clutch free throws. Senior RJ Young led the Hornets’ effort with 27 points, while senior Camarion Bead added 20 points. Bryant sealed the win with free throws, going 6-for-7 at line in the final two minutes of the game.
