Let’s dive right in!

🎙️ Staying Home. In this week’s edition of Courtside Chats, Alyssa Orange sits down with Little Rock Christian Academy’s Whitley Rogers. The 2025 Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year details her decision to sign with the Razorbacks, what it’s been like growing up in a basketball family, and how she is soaking up the rest of her senior season.

🔒 Locked In. The Shiloh girls basketball team used a strong second half and solid defense to come home with a 54-35 win over Pottsville. The Saints were a defensive force, only allowing three field goals in the final two quarters. Offensively, they used an 11-0 run to pull away for the win. Junior Hadley Carnes led the effort, finishing with 16 points. The Saints will face Robinson tomorrow for a spot in the semifinals.

🐯 Tiger Scratch. Bentonville’s girls basketball team was relentless from beyond the arc, hitting 10 3-pointers in their 56-42 win over Bryant. Sophomore Jensen Thrasher and freshman Rylee Merritt led the Lady Tigers with 12 points each, while junior Anniston Moore had 10. Bentonville trailed by a point going into halftime, but hit four 3-pointers in the third quarter to build a double-digit lead and come home with a win. They’ll face Northside tomorrow, looking to continue their postseason journey.

🐶 New Leader. Fayetteville head coach Casey Dick has resigned after leading to football team since 2019. In his tenure, the Bulldogs went 55-25 and won the 2023 state championship. The Texas native is expected to return home, taking the head coaching job at Rockwall-Heath (TX):

🔥 Cardinal Domination. Farmington had a dominant showing last night, with both the boys and girls teams eliminating Little Rock Christian from the playoffs. The Lady Cardinals left no doubt, picking up a 75-56 dub. On the boys’ side of the bracket, Farmington picked up a 61-54 win over the Warriors.

🏀 Senior Jabarih Washington reached an important milestone in Har-Ber’s 76-47 win over Springdale, surpassing 1,000 career points. Washington finished with 17 points, including three 3-pointers. He’s just as reliable at the line, knocking down 83% of his free throw attempts on the season.
