🎙️ Varsity Vibe Today. Shiloh Christian head coach Tucker Barnard is more focused on the process than the results. But the results are speaking for themselves just two weeks into the season! After a 44-13 win over Little Rock Christian last Friday, he joins Alyssa Orange to talk about the winning pieces they have in place. Plus, find out this week's Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week. 

Then, in today’s episode of Varsity Vibe Stories — coming your way at 11 a.m. — after 15 years coaching on the college level, Dom Mirocke is in his first year as the head coach at Fort Smith Northside. Coaching high school football is in his blood, and as he looks to build a program that can sustain success he's leaning on his experience to guide him. 

 🏈 Overtime Thriller. The Fayetteville Bulldogs survived a battle against Broken Arrow (OK), winning 18-17 in overtime. A missed field goal took them into overtime, but Bulldogs running back Kaleb Johnson powered in a two-point conversion to secure the win. Quarterback Hank Hendrix threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns, while Fayetteville’s defense held the Tigers to just 17 points.

💪 For the Home State. The Bryant Hornets cruised to victory against Newton (GA), 31-14. Kollin Robinson scored twice, while T.J. Hodges rushed for 115 yards, helping Bryant garner more than 220 rushing yards. Quarterbacks Kyler Shelby and Jeremiah Motes combined for 368 passing yards and three touchdowns. The Hornets’ defense held strong against Newton’s high-powered running game, holding their standout Kevin Hartsfield to just 20 yards.

🏐Tiger Triumph. The Bentonville Lady Tigers bounced back from a pool-play loss to Cabot to claim a hard-fought 25-19, 16-25, 15-7 victory in the championship match of the Bentonville Early Bird tournament at Tiger Arena. Evie Venters led the offense with 10 kills and two blocks, while Tristen Hamilton added six kills, two aces, and 16 digs. Senior Kylah Manthe dished out 17 assists and eight digs, helping Bentonville secure the title after wins over Bentonville West and Springdale Har-Ber.

🏈 Bentonville West QB Tre’ Thompson put on a show against Cabot, throwing for 386 yards and six touchdowns in the first half alone. Thompson had the opportunity to showcase his accurate arm, completing 21 of 26 passes. The senior’s leadership was on full display, helping the Wolverines explode offensively and score on three-straight drives in the first half.

⛳️ Bentonville’s Grace Abbruzzese showed out on the course, finishing as medalist with a 75, including a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th hole from 112 yards with a gap wedge. Her performance helped lead the Bentonville girls golf team to a team score of 246, which secured the victory at the Wolverine Invitational at Bella Vista Country Club.

🏈 The Shiloh Christian Saints cruised to a dominant 44-13 victory over Little Rock Christian. Junior quarterback Cole Creighton threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns, including a 68-yard strike to senior wide receiver Zane Sluyter, who finished with 12 catches for 211 yards. Senior running back Griffin Mason tallied 111 rushing yards and four total touchdowns, highlighting a dominant Saints offense that racked up 599 total yards. Defensively, the Saints’ pressure forced three turnovers.
