Let’s get to it!

🎙️ Program Builder. Farmington’s Johnny Taylor was hired to take over the boys basketball program in June of 2020. He’s won state championships in 1A with Weiner and 3A with Rose Bud, and has laid the foundation with the Cardinals to help them get their first title. He sat down with Alyssa Orange detailing his coaching career, outlining the “Notebook System,” and being able to coach both of his sons.

✔️ Win Secured. Fayetteville basketball snapped a two-game losing streak with a 52-41 victory over Springdale. The Bulldogs were led by senior DJ Hudson’s 17 point performance, while senior Hudson Garrett added 13 and senior Kinyun Johnson scored 12.

💪 Fought Back. Shiloh Christian rallied back from a 14-point deficit to take down Berryville 55-50 and secure the conference title. The Saints’ offense made key adjustments to fight their back to the win, leaning on junior Ryan Davis’ 20 points and senior Duke Bowman’s 16.

🌷 Spring Seasons. Spring is here, and that can only mean one thing — new sports are ramping up! Baseball, softball, and soccer are heating up as we close out basketball season. This week, Rogers, Har-Ber, Bentonville West all have games. Stay in loop with Varsity Vibe!

🏀 Bentonville West basketball has had a dominant stretch of wins, earning them our Team of the Week honors. They knocked off Fayetteville with a 62-55 win before taking down rival Bentonville with a 48-45 buzzer-beater ending. With the pair of wins, they hold the third-place spot in the 6A-West.

🏀 Senior Landon Price came in clutch for Bentonville West in their 48-45 win over Bentonville. With the game tied at 45-45 with just over two seconds remaining, Price nailed a game-winning shot from way downtown as time expired. He finished the game with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while also recording two steals.

⛹️‍♀️ Junior Madisen Campbell reached a big milestone in Har-Ber’s 74-26 victory over Rogers Heritage, reaching her 1,000th career point. She finished with 15 points as the Lady Wildcats recorded their 24th win of the season, remaining undefeated in conference play.
