Let’s dive right in!
🏈 Big Return. Anthony Lucas is back in Northwest Arkansas — but this time, he's not catching touchdowns. He's building a powerhouse. The new Fayetteville High School head football coach joins the show to talk about taking over one of the biggest jobs in Arkansas high school football, his championship run at Pulaski Academy, the pressure of replacing Casey Dick, and the vision he has for the Purple Dogs moving forward. From "Stoerner to Lucas" Razorback legend status to leading one of the state's premier programs, Coach Lucas breaks down what it takes to build a championship culture in Fayetteville.

🏀 New Game. After spending seven seasons as an assistant coach for Pea Ridge, Reed Smith will have the opportunity to lead the Lady Blackhawks. Smith was promoted following head coach Heath Neal’s resignation. Neal led Pea Ridge to their first 4A championship appearance last season after recording a 12-2 record in conference play.
🏈 QB1 Watch. It’s always football season in Greenwood, where senior Cruz Coatney is looking to make an impact in the upcoming season. After backing up Kane Archer last season, Coatney spent the spring working on his skills for more success on the field. Greenwood football is no stranger to elite QB’s — the Bulldogs have had 19 different quarterbacks throw for 2,000 yards in a season.
⚽️ Shuffling Around. Change is coming to Fayetteville boys soccer, with head coach Scott Rainer stepping down and returning to an assistant role. Former Fayetteville coach Steve Oliver has been named interim coach for the 2027 season. The Bulldogs finished with a 6-8-2 record in conference play this season.

🏀 Fayetteville basketball is hosting their annual Purple Dogs camp this week! The camp is open to 1st-6th graders looking to improve their basketball skills and learn from older athletes. The Bulldogs went 13-3 in league play, advancing to the 6A playoffs last season. Campers will get the chance to learn from a program that continues to be one of the best in the 6A.

⚾️ Senior Max Conine came through with a clutch performance, helping Pulaski Academy capture its first state baseball championship since 2013. Conine finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the Bruins’ 6-3 victory over Brookland in the 4A title game, delivering key hits early to help Pulaski Academy keep momentum. His performance helped cap off a dominant 32-3 season and a historic title run for the Bruins.
🥎 Senior Anistyn Nolte earned MVP honors after playing a huge role in Taylor softball’s ninth-straight state title. Nolte was dominant in the circle, tossing five innings while only allowing one hit. She also made an impact at the dish, hitting a triple that solidified the historic win for the Lady Tigers.
