Happy Tuesday! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow — for the 110th time since 1887 (!!!) — but fear not: The “immortal” groundhog only has only been accurate around 35% of the time. There’s still hope for an early spring! 🌺

🎙️ Recapping the Action. As we’ve reached the end of the first half of conference play around the state, a handful of teams remain undefeated in their respective leagues. We recap some of the action from over the weekend.

🏀 West Winning. Bentonville West built an early lead and never looked back, beating Fort Smith Southside, 77–34, behind a dominant first half. The Wolverines were up 43–14 at halftime, setting the tone for the night. Senior Landon Price led West with 15 points, while sophomore Karter Coleman added 11 as the Wolverines improved to 17–5 overall.
💪 Held Strong. Despite a late push, Har-Ber held off Springdale, winning 56-51. Senior Ryan Spencer led all scorers with 18 points, while sophomore Orion Lenteau led the Bulldogs with 15 points.
🎯 All Net. The Bentonville West girls had an electric offensive performance, taking down Fort Smith Southside, 78-26. Sophomore Hailey Trader led the Lady Wolverines’ effort, scoring a game-high 20 points. West was on fire when it came to three-point shooting, knocking down 19 in their fourth conference win.
🏀 Shiloh Christian remains in the top spot of 4A-1 after grinding out a 48-41 victory over Prairie Grove. Despite a late push by the Tigers, the Saints relied on strong defense and steady shooting to extend their conference win streak to 24. Senior Duke Bowman led Shiloh Christian’s scoring with 13 points. Click the video above to watch our feature on the Saints, and subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss any action!

🏀 In Heritage’s 61-49 win over in-town rival Rogers, senior Skye Davenport put up an impressive performance and made an impact on the court. The guard scored a game-high of 23 points, helping secure the win and shut down a Mountie comeback.
⛹️♀️ Sophomore Payton Caudle was a steady force in Fayetteville’s 62-33 win over Fort Smith Southside, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals to help power the Lady Bulldogs to their third straight conference victory. Caudle’s all-around impact on both ends of the floor helped Fayetteville pull away after an early slow start.
