🎙️ Varsity Vibe Today. After a big defensive performance on Friday night, Van Buren is 4-0 to start conference play for the first time since 1996. Tristan Ray had an interception and a rushing touchdown in their 17-10 win. He joins Alyssa Orange to recap the win. Plus, Cole Slepecki is helping lead the Bentonville Tigers team through their 7-0 start to the season. We tackle why he thinks the offense is so successful and what it will take for Bentonville to have success against Rogers on Friday

🏈 West On Top. Bentonville West’s defense and special teams came in clutch against Har-Ber, taking the 41-14 win. The Wolverines were able to force four turnovers and hold a powerful Har-Ber team scoreless in the second half. Sophomore running back V.J. Warren led the charge with 182 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Senior quarterback Tre Thompson remained impressive with 199 passing yards and three touchdowns.
🐯 Tiger Takeover. Bentonville remains undefeated after taking down Fayetteville 48-14. Senior quarterback Cole Slepecki threw five touchdowns and senior running back Chris Ficklin led the run game with 206 yards on seven carries with one touchdown. The Tigers’ offense looked unstoppable, piling up almost 500 first-half yards. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs’ junior quarterback Hank Hendrix passed for 256 yards with two touchdowns.
💥 Offensive Explosion. The Rogers Mounties took down Springdale 70-14 on Friday for their seventh win of the season. The Mounties exploded offensively with 576 total yards in the first half alone, with senior quarterback Jeff Regan completing 15 of 22 passes for 388 yards and four touchdowns before halftime. Senior receivers Dracen Voak and Titus Cramer each caught multiple touchdown passes, with Voak finishing as the team’s leading receiver with 147 yards. Backup sophomore quarterback Caleb Porta came in for the second half, adding two touchdowns of his own to finish off the win.

🏈 Rogers Heritage was able to snap a 25-game losing streak after a close 41-40 overtime win against Fort Smith Northside. The War Eagles showed determination on defense, preventing Northside’s two-point conversion attempt to seal the win. They came in clutch multiple times to force key turnovers. Heritage’s offense came out strong from the start, with senior running back Evan Gordon running for a 69-yard touchdown in the first drive of the game, while junior quarterback Braedon Carroll threw multiple touchdowns.

🏈 Senior running back Barrett Miller was unstoppable last Friday, playing a key part in Mountain Home’s 33-0 victory over Siloam Springs. Miller recorded 199 rushing yards and 93 receiving yards. Three of Miller’s five touchdowns came in the first half, helping the Bombers build a 19-0 lead before the break. He had two more in the second half, leading Mountain Home to their second-straight shutout this season.
🏐 Bentonville volleyball remains undefeated in conference play, and senior libero Ady Bolinger has played a huge part in the Tigers’ success. Bolinger recently reached an important milestone — her 1,000th career dig. The accomplishment is a testament to her drive, passion, and commitment to the game. In the Tigers’ most recent win over Shawnee Mission East, Bolinger had 13 digs.

🏈 The Bryant Hornets continued their winning streak after taking down Little Rock Southwest in a dominant 42-6 win. Junior quarterback Kyler Shelby threw three touchdowns, while the defense forced four turnovers. The offense scored on five of the first six drives, putting up a 35-0 lead in the first half. The defense recorded six sacks, helping the Hornets secure their 20th straight victory. Bryant will travel to Cabot this week to take on the 2-5 Panthers. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm and can be watched here.
